Literature Text

Aren't you proud, daddy?
Aren't you proud of your
not-so-little girl?
All grown up and
living on her own.

No thanks to you.

Your little girl
cooking and cleaning
all by herself.
Fighting off the
terrors of life.
Without you there to
"protect" her.

Are you happy, daddy?
Are you happy now
that she can't
stand
to be in the same
room with you?
Are you happy
you have
lied
to her? Broken her trust
and her heart.
Are you happy now?

This little girl
of yours,
she's learned.
Daddy doesn't care.
Daddy doesn't love her.
She's learned she is
on her own,
and daddy can't help.

Aren't you glad?!
She's learned the
most important thing
to keep her alive:

Don't rely on daddy.
This is something I wrote after my dad relapsed not to long ago. Wrote this on november 7th. *nodnod* Comments?

Nicely written; I can relate with this text (although was not with my true "dad").
